LX3 LANDSCAPE WITH LATEST WB FIRMWARE UPDATE
Landscapes are often a great test of a camera’s Auto White Balance capability, and I was keen to check the improvement supposedly made by Panasonic in their latest firmware update. This is the third update in recent months, and their intention was to again improve LX3 wb performance ….so – does it work ?
I can see a distinct improvement both in the above scene, and in many other test images taken on the day and in all others since 1st June, when the update was made available and installed on my LX3. I’ve also found excellent results in tungsten lighting, which was a particular weak point previously.
An unqualified success, then, and if you haven’t the latest firmware on your LX3, I’d recommend updating asap.
